Another Room at Breadstix

Sam smiled, keeping his eyes locked on Aria's. And when she spoke, he believed her. He wanted to tell her about his family's problems but he was almost sure that, as nice a person Aria might be, she'd leave. And Sam didn't want that. "I don't know..." He murmured softly.

Aria smiled softly, there was something up she could tell that now. Whatever it was, she wanted to help. "Trust me, your secrets can't be any worse then mine." She spoke, sweetly. Though, it was true to her. Her life was so messed up, nothing could be any worse. There was something about Sam, she knew he'd never be the one in the wrong. He was a kind person at heart, she didn't need to be a genius to work that one out.

Sam's smile disappeared as the sharp intake of breath past his lips. "My family... And me.. We-We live at a motel." Sam sighed quietly as his eyes drifted back to his hands, folded on the table.

The brunette laughed to herself, looking down at the table, when he said his family lived in a motel. "That was it... that was your big secret." She replied, looking into his eyes a soft smile on her lips. She nervously put her hand on his. "I don't think any less of you, money doesn't make a person." She smiled, reassuringly.

Sam was shocked at Aria's response but almost instantly, he wondered why on God's Earth he thought she wouldn't react like that. She was amazing. He smiled at her and flipped his hand so he could intertwine their fingers. "Thank you." His smile momentarily disappearing so he could relay the seriousness of what he was saying.

"Anytime." She replied, her smile still reassuring. This moment was perfect, she didn't want to spoil it, but knowing her stupid self she probably would. That's why she kept her mouth shut for the moment, to avoid any stupid comments that usually came out when she talked.

Sam smiled back at Aria, staring into her eyes. "You have beautiful eyes." He commented without thinking. He immediately regretted letting his dorky side show on the first date.

Aria giggled, looking at the table. Then she looked back up at him, smiling. "Thanks. Your the first person who actually commented me." She replied, gazing at the blonde in front of her.

"Well then people are dumb." Sam replied softly, keeping the smile on his face. "You deserve compliments." He added lamely.

"Your the most amazing guy I've ever met... literally." She replied, regretting it as soon as it was out. Why did she always come up with the cheesiest lines? She was so crummy.

Aria's compliment made Sam a little sad. How bad were they guys she knew? But he smiled and glanced down at the table, blushing slightly. He glanced at their hands between them.

She was about to apologize for her extremely corny line when the waiter brought over the food & drink. Unwillingly she broke apart their fingers to let him put the plates down. Though, she couldn't stop gazing at him, god she must have looked so stupid then.

When the contact between their hands was gone, Sam pulled his hand back to make room for the plates and glasses. He kept watching Aria like an idiot.

"Enjoy your meal." The waiter said as he laid down the plates on the table, that's when Aria finally stopped staring like a complete retard & thanked the waiter. As the waiter walked away she picked up her drink, taking a sip.

When Aria looked away, Sam realised how long he'd been staring. He blushed somewhat furiously and looked down, folding his hands in his lap, making space for the plates. He thanked the waited quietly, keeping his head down.

She didn't dare to look back up at Sam, what if she stared like an idiot again? She sighed, using her fork to pick pieces of her salad apart & putting them into her mouth.
